I see you sleeping on your pillow,
Peaceful, resting, still.
And I want to say "Thank you darling"
Thank you for loving me.


I want to wake you darling
Just to say "Thank you"
Oh thank you my darling
For understanding me.


I see you in the moonlight, sleeping,
And joy comes to my heart,
Thank you, oh thank you my true love
For knowing me as you do.


But I let you sleep on my darling
And gently kiss your face,
And hope I say "Thank you" my darling
In the things that I do each day.
