SHOULD BE
I should be cleaning the kitchen not sitting here
Looking at the scenery with it’s beauty so clear,
With lake and trees and rocks before my eyes,
But I must move and clean up that I realize.

But there is, from the lake, a cooling breeze
And the birds are singing in the tall trees,
The loons are dancing on the water close by
And a VEE formation of geese caught my eye.

To sweep and wash and tidy all need to be done,
The scene will still be here when the battle is won,
So reluctantly I will go inside and clean away,
Then come to view and rest later on in the day.

I should be cleaning house but see over there,
Are the two cubs and fat old mother bear
On the horizon near lookout point , yes I’m sure,
I really do not want to go in behind my front door.
