NEGLECT
Do we sometimes neglect to tell a friend we care,
No tender word or action our feelings to share,
No words of comfort or praise needed to give,
In fact just a little bit afraid to really start to live?
In Thee I am well pleased said the Father to His Son,
Just as His great, hard mission had just then begun,
Should we not follow this example with due praise
Let our children know we approve of their ways.
Do we neglect to share the gospel because of fear?
If we loved our neighbours we would drew near
With the message of truth and light and pure love,
Share this gift we have, tell of our home above.
Do we neglect the blessing that are free for us to take
By filling life with meaningless things that will break
Or will tarnish as the days do all too quickly go by?
Fill the heart with the treasures are there when you die,
To neglect the good things like love and sweet sacrifice
Of sharing the talents you have, youll pay a great price,
For goods and shackles tie you down if put first in life,
Think of Fathers will and at lifes end be free from strife.
