HONESTY THE BEST POLICY
There is a light that shines deep in everyone,
Easy to find when the battle over evil is won,
For we are given a light to guide us along the way
And as long as we are good and kind it will stay.
To cheat and lie and truly dishonest always be,
Will start to quench that light, we no longer see
The path that we should follow and it seems right
To steal a little, if not caught we have won the fight.
Stop and think hard now who is in control of you
As along this darked path you tread what is in view?
Not the path to glory where heaven’s angels sing,
No it is a path to destruction that dishonesty will bring.
To lie a little every now and then is whispered in your ear,
That is when Satan creeps up and come a little too near,
Honesty is the best policy and your light will alway shine,
So turn away Satan when he creeps up and you every time.
