RETURNING SUN
I awoke this morning with the bright sun in my eyes,
And after five days of cloudy weather a pleasant surprise ,
The bird songs were more cheerful it seemed to me,
Maybe all today we will be from cold rain quite free.
The wind is blowing from the south tossing away clouds,
The flowers seem to lift their heads after the dull shroud
Of rain and thunder clouds that covered us everywhere,
And there is a feeling of rejoicing in the morning air.
No sweater needed on the short walk on this day,
For the keen wind has blown itself quite far away,
June is again returning feeling just like she should,
Giving us the promise of all summer things so good.
