THE FOUR SISTERS
When we came to Canada in nineteen seventy three,
We flew in over the lake and there as plain as can be
Were the four tall chimneys standing tall and strong
And it seemed that is where the four should belong.
We lived in Mississauga not far from the sisters four,
They were a pleasing land mark just along lakeshore.
Not an eye soar at all just part of this lovely place,
A little bit of distinction along the lake of grace.
It seemed kind of sad when no swirling smoke was seen
As they quietly went to sleep ready to leave this scene,
They were an indication of which way the wind blew,
And helped us to know what the weather might do.
Our visitors took pictures with pretty boats close by,
And now this morning we watched them fall and die.
Farewell dear landmark, we knew we were nearly home,
When we saw you standing tall after a far away roam.
