COMPUTERS
I have been thinking about computers, what they are
Just a big pile of bits and bites to technical by far
For my active brain to ever try to even comprehend
In fact just thinking about it sends me round the bend.
But it has no heart at all, that I can testify to all
For yesterday it swallowed, without saving I recall
Three poems all gone into cyberspace with odd socks
No records of them anywhere what a great shock.
Typing and saving as usual in my own happy way
When nasty messages appears, took my poems away,
If it had a heart it would not do this to a friend like me
Who uses it with love and care and I need dependancy.
So today with trepidation I come to write once more
And if the computer plays up it may go through the door,
But it is rather expensive to treat it in that kind of way
And I am rather fond of it so what more can I say.
