TALES OF YORE.
Gather together and Ill tell you tales of yore,
Things my grandma told me and many more,
Stores that make you laugh other make you cry
Tales of deep blue seas and many an azure sky.
She went far and wide with her husband to be
Never found peace of mind save in her own country,
Ill tell how a little racoon saved then from a snake
And how they tamed a wild cat into their home take.
Tales of battles with the sea as waves were far to high
Being seasick for days as the storm roared ever by,
Of people who would clean your home for a meal,
And brought back herbal remedies that would heal.
Tales of being in the garrison when the enemy came
Everyone laughed, they found they were hunting game,
The fear of the darkness when wild animals did roam
And the heart within her aching to be safely at home.
Come and ;ll relate each one as told to be as a child
And brought up in me a desire to be a little wild,
To find far off places but make them my home
As long as loved ones were there anywhere Id roam.
