NOT LONELY AT CHRISTMAS
The area was quite deserted no city
sounds were there,
Just wilderness sounds and the scene
truly fair,
There was no need for a tree in the
home at all,
For the home was in the forest with many
trees so tall.
Although there was an old artificial tree
decorated well,
And a wreath of fir over the mantle
did dwell,
The smell of Christmas cooking
was in the air,
Yet there was only one old person
living there.
But all around the large table laid in its
Christmas best
Within each place setting a photograph
did rest.
The sound of Christmas music wafted
through the air
And deep within that heart each family member
was there.
And there was a place for a stranger should
they call,
No that old sweet home was not lonely, no
not at all.
For family,.friends and the Master lived
every single day,
In that home in the forest and they never went
far away.
