PART OF NATURE
I think, save for a few, that up north with nature
we are a part,
Realizing it’s value, appreciating it with
all our heart,
We seem bound as one, us humans and mother
nature’s beauty
And of it’s sights and sounds we never want
to be free.
Recognize the song of each bird, the colour
of each wing,
The flight patterns, those who cheap and those
who sweetly sing.
Name each wild flower and leave them to live,
grow and die,
Try not to trample them underfoot as you
wander close by.
Be able to name the many trees that give us
grace every day.
See all the many different greens, they are
countless, I’d say.
Know the sounds of animals know each track they
leave behind,
Become part of nature so sweet peace is ever
on your mind.
