FOR ELDER GUNNELL ON ENTERING
THE MISSION FIELD
Philip, you are special and we are pleased
to know you,
A friend to be proud of in all that you
say and do.
Just right to serve a mission obeying
God’s command,
Going far away to New-Zealand’s
distant land.
May the Lord keep you safe and guide you
day by day,
For we know you will follow the true
and only way.
Your shining light will let many know
you are right,
For you will be an example like a beacon
burning bright.
You will be a good companion for you
truly care
And for your friends around you will always
willingly be there.
Go forth and shine our young friend strong
and true,
And the Lord will send sweet blessings all
your life through.
