GOING FOR A WALK
When you go for a walk and you feel the gentle breeze
And there is a happy chatter of birds in the tall trees,
With the sun casting shadows just before the end of day,
There is a special feeling that can often come your way.
The breeze is like a caress of a loving and caring hand,
The birds may be singing about the beauty of the land,
The swaying trees doing natures dance so full of grace,
The warming sun, if seen, would have a smile of her face.
The road beneath the footfall or the soft giving grass
Gives a spring to your steps, and all those you pass
Greet you with a smile and hand wave walking along,
It is really a lovely way to see and hear natures song.
In country living where little noise disturbs the peace,
And dear nature can heal and bless her gifts never cease,
Last night the moon was full and bright giving gentle light,
Another gift of nature seen in the twinkling stars so bright.
