More poems about Writing.

PLEASE ASK OF ME A FAVOUR
Please ask of me a favour, ask of me a boon,
I love to write poetry but I am sure quite soon
Ideas will be more difficult to come my way,
And a request does stimulate me day by day.

My ideas sometimes flow as fast as a stream,
Then my mind can lapse into some kind of dream,
And instead of words just ideas float all around
And it’s hard to capture them and sense found.

Today my mind seems settled and words flow fast
But I am not sure just how long that will last,
So does someone need a poem of love to tell,
Or one of thanks or praying for one to get well.

While I write I feel alive and am doing my little part,
But when ideas are slow it sometimes breaks my heart,
For part of me is fading and I just need a helping hand
To find my stain of thought that’s lost in sinking sand.
