HEARD THE ANGELS
I wish I had heard the angels sing Hosanna long ago
And with the lowly shepherds off to the stable to go,
Then see the brand new baby just arrived to set us free,
I know I would have knelt and worshipped on bended knee.
If He would have cried could I have held Him tight?
Even then felt His radiating love and His warmth and light,
I wonder would I have realized the value of His birth
And understood the great sacrifice, knowing of its great worth?
Maybe I am better off born now, knowing the true way,
Knowing of His life divine and worthy always stay,
Try and keep Christ in Christmas all year through.
Although I wanted to be there, I’m glad of what I know
