STAND STILL
Stand still and gaze at nature, see all that she gives,
At any time or season something moves and lives,
A panoramic view of gentle pine covered hills
Spread for miles abound, what a great gap it fills.
Each season has a beauty, it’s very own show,
From snow clad trees onto fall’s great glow.
Wandering around you see flowers everywhere,
Both sight and scents so sweet in the warm air,
And hearing the morning chorus that bids us awake,
Then rising when bidden to see the sun as she breaks
Over the eastern ridge with grace and beauty so fair,
And of the love of nature you become more keenly aware.
Even the rent rocks seem to have a beauty of their own,
Every farmers field ready for harvest or just newly sown.
Glistening lakes, fast flowing rivers or small stream
All add to Natures gifts, then we see the moon’s gentle beam
With deep velvet skies embedded with stars so bright.
Let us stand still and gaze at nature and absorb the sight,
Then when you are feeling down or bad sights dims your eyes,
Sit still and remember nature and the worth of that prize.
