FORGETTING MY NOTEBOOK
When I am travelling and many thoughts come my way
My trusty little notebook helps my thoughts easily stay,
But when it is forgotten I am almost in shock and pain,
For I try and store the thoughts but sometimes it is in vain.
Today I have my notebook and thoughts are flying right out,
The poetry still inside my head wants to scream and shout,
Come on Ann, let me be next the ideas do loudly plead
And they rush out so fast that my writing is hard to read.
It is also made more messy by the bumps in the road,
Even when dear Brian does not drive like crazy toad,
The next poem will be about the love dolls that I make,
Crocheting relaxes me and away my tension does take.
So to save my sanity many a notebook has been bought,
For if I rush out a great lesson is always to me taught,
The thoughts just whizz around and thoughts are gone,
Even if it is a tissue box those thoughts must be set free.
