LONG FORGOTTEN GRAVES
You may wander around a cemetery, see many a long
forgotten grave
Overgrown with grass and moss on the stone and you
long to save
Some memories of those long gone, does no one now
really even care
For those who lay all alone and left, no tears shed of
flowers always bare?
But maybe those loved ones too are departed and they
walk hand in hand,
Gathering flowers together in heavens garden so
beautiful and grand.
A few generations may have gone far moved
somewhere away,
Dont know their family history dont know where loved
ones lay,
Seek them out and find them let them be all together
for all eternity,
Not just together while they wait for His last
coming to them part,
But be together eternally for Father above knows
each heart,
He has a plan to seal all our loved ones to be
always together above,
Bound as forever families in His great courts in
heaven in love,
Look around forgotten graves and see who you may
one day have found
Take down long lost names and spread the news
all around,
Some distance loved one may recognize the name and so
union will find
And bring to many generations true, sweet peace of
heart and mind.
I saw a graveyard stretch far on a lonely hill
a distance away,
When the snow is gone Ill climb up there one
special day
And seek and search for the names that can with
effort be read,
I may then hear sweet rejoicings when I retire
to my bed.
