More poems about Spring.

WHO DO I ASK
I have welcomed the warm sun, given her due praise
For the hope of sweet spring in heart she does raise,
But who can I get in touch with, for nights not freezing
So that the night air is not cold but much more pleasing?

The wandering moon and the stars shine with clarity bright,
They only give light no warmth of any kind comes at night,
The air turns quite chill and still as the sun goes quickly down,
How can I help to warm up night, take off her icy gown?

Each morning the poor old sun has to work hard each day
To remove the minus temperature, send the cold air away,
Then about ten in the morning when the warmth you feel,
Who can I talk to and find a remedy this cold to heal?

Maybe it’s the sun’s fault her heat not strong enough to stay
All through the night and so then start another new day
Way above freezing, so that it is pleasant all the day long,
And we will be blest by the returning birds melodious song.

Come sun do a little more for I know it is you who’s to blame,
That frost still lingers every night, you can relieve the pain,
Soon the windows will be opened both through day and night
And a warm zephyr will blow and the air fill us with delight.
