WELCOME WARM SUN
Welcome warm sun, I hope you are here to stay
For you are washing all the cold snow far away,
Not fast enough yet but Im sure it will soon go
And in gardens and fields many flowers will grow.
The mud will vanish and we can lay seed all around
So lush green grass on our large lawn will be found,
The leaves will return on the trees now so bare
As long as your sweet warmth fills the fresh air.
Mountainous snow mounds still are found everywhere
And where the town dumped snow, maybe there all year,
Unless you change from just warm to penetrating heat,
I dont think we will ever see yet our cute garden seat.
But welcome warm sun and shine all and every day
Until all the snow has disappeared no longer does stay,
Over six months is quite long enough for me I deem
To have cold winters beauty constantly on the scene.
So shine well dear, warm, melting sun each day be bright,
The sooner the better for me the snow will be out of sight,
I am waiting to go into the garden and clean up the mess,
And look round at beauty of spring in her newest first dress.
