THE TEN VIRGINS
Sometimes I think people get the wrong idea
About the five foolish virgins, thoughts not clear,
They think they were not good wicked in some way,
But let us stop and think what happened on that day.
All were worthy to meet the Bridegroom at His coming,
Led good lives, kept the faith and others willingly serving,
So what was wrong what had they done, why not ready?
They had served but their spirituality was not really steady.
A spiritual feast the others took whenever they could
And listened to the prompting voice and always would,
The others maybe did not feast on the spiritual things,
The kind of supplication that true, sweet peace brings.
Like today, all would be worthy members with a recommend ,
All doing what they should but not always on the spirit depend,
So feed your soul by feasting with the Master every single day,
And when the Bridegroom comes you can enter and there stay.
Now let us just stop and think what this may be all about,
Did they miss the temple, stayed home to clear a closet out?
Missed a meeting or did not pray because there’s lots to do,
It is just the little things that can happen to both me and you.
