COCONUT MERINGUES
I had some egg whites left over when baking yesterday,
And we did not fancy lemon meringue to come our way,
So I made some coconut meringues for a change to eat,
Thought they would last a little while our wants to meet,
But no, they tasted so good they have nearly all gone,
So as a favourite treat a new dainty we have now won.
It is so quick and easy, yet they just melt with one chew,
A taste of coconut and almond not a flavour at all new,
The only problem that I can in the future ever see
We will put on weight for they are as sweet as can be.
Next time I make some I’ll let all my friends know
So that the increase in measurement will not show,
We’ll all get fat togther as these goodies we consume,
I can add weight for in all my clothes there’s lots of room.
