THE THREE LEGGED DOGS
In the small town of Cobalt a sight is often seen
That is quite unusual, not often found I deem,
Two lovely dogs as happy as they can be
Trotting along with their master quite merrily
This is not odd until you take a much closer look,
Each dog has only three legs, it comes as a shock
At first but now they are just part of this town
That is so kind and friendly, no one wears a frown.
How many pet owner would bother when hurt
To try and get a dog fixed up, would they shirk
And say its too much expense and work you see?
But two of them true good pets, friendly as can be.
There tails seem always to wag when they pass you by
And there is a mischievous look in each bright eye,
Come up to Cobalt and watch out for two dogs and see
How happy and healthy three legged dogs can really be.
