PATIENCE
Where does virtue stem from, in which type of heart
does it grow?
I’d say one of long suffering and sweet kindness
forever will show,
Full of gentle understanding, with a good sweet
listening ear,
A heart that will wait and wait and still have
love so dear,
The start of virtue comes from patience proven
ever true,
And a heart that is ever open for all the good to
come through.
So seek for patience a virtuous gift given from
heaven above
A heart that can develop God’s eternal and infinite
pure love,
Patience shows itself in so many different
kinds of ways
And is needed more that ever in this time of
hectic days.
Holding a loved ones hand gently who is sick
or in pain,
Explaining a simple sum to a child over and
over again,
Teaching someone who knows but not willing
to change,
Sticking to them with love, never push them out
of range.
Overcoming your own will and do the Lord’s
bidding,
So you have to have a humble heart and be ever
willing,.
You need a heart that can break a million times and
still smile,
A heart that has the strength and courage to go the
extra mile.
Patience is the accumulation of virtues tied up
this charity,
And it is through the gift of patience that this world
came to be.
