More poems about Dreams.

        SLEEP IS BEING ELUSIVE
Sleep is being elusive tonight I wonder where he hides,
In nooks or crannies, under the bed or far away glides,
To torment a tired mind that feels it needs some rest.
I wonder if I’ll find him or will he fly from a hidden nest.

Maybe I can coax him with a promise of a poem or two,
Or have a quiet game to help pass the long night,
If anyone has seen him please tell him I’m in need
And if he blesses me tonight for him I’ll intercede .

Every little sound just seems to send him far away,
At least in winter, day is late coming our way,
What is this peaceful feeling like a pain free shawl?
Yes, it is sweet, kind sleep coming to me after all.
