UNWELCOME KISS
I was making a big hearty stew for it was minus twenty five,
Thats without the wind chill and stew helps us survive,
We all like whole hot small Spanish onions floating on top,
And they were waiting by the pot the right time in to drop.
I was cleaning up the kitchen for making a stew makes a mess,
Peelings and ends and fat you dont want in you must confess,
When my dearest husband grabbed me for a little kiss or two,
But he had eaten a hot onion more than half way through.
The kiss almost knocked me off my feet my head just reeled,
If you have even been close to breath that strong of just peeled
Spanish onions you can maybe knew the great shock that came,
But I must admit no kiss will ever be quite the same again.
When I stepped back he roared with laughter and mirth,
In fact he laughed so hard he almost fell to the earth,
Then I saw the funny side of this rather cute little prank,
We hugged, I turned my head away as on a chair we sank
