FOR HER 80TH BIRTHDAY
Mother, this day we want to tell you how much we all do care,
All of us giving our thanks to Heavenly Father in sweet prayer
For having a great mother, nana and even great nana as well,
This day is special and there are a few things I would like to say.
Thank you for the example you set for all of us to easily follow,
Me and Susan, Paul, Richard and Lisa, all happily married shows
How love and inspiration, hard work and caring righteousness
Can guide children to the temple so with eternal love to bless.
Three serving missions with honour, what a blessing came your way,
For many will bless you as you sacrificed nearly every single day,
Now four grandsons on missions serving with all their might,
Teaching the truth of the gospel spreading the gospels true light.
Every week you write to all four what great love here is shown,
For on a mission there is nothing quite like letter coming from home.
Those eyes of yours still sparkle like diamonds in a dark velvet sky,
And that smile still lights your face as a friend or loved one come by.
I know there will be flowers in heaven but of dishes I am not sure,
But if that’s what you want I am sure that Father in heaven will cure
By finding dishes for you to wash and dry and put away with care,
And that calling bed maybe soft as clouds a sweet rest beyond compare.
So happy birthday from us all may sweet joy with you ever stay,
We know we will all be together when we take up our bodies of clay,
And rise to meet the Saviour on that millennial day so dear and bright
And being together forever we may ever dwell in His everlasting light.
