OUR CAR’S GARBAGE
In the car we use a shopping bag to put
our garbage in,
To use anything else, to me, would be a
wasteful sin,
I am sure the garbage varies with each
individual car,
But I think that ours is the most consistent
by far.
Hot chocolate mugs from Tim Horton’s takes
most of the space,
Wurther’s gold candy wrappers take a close
second place,
Then just a few tissues and napkins are
found in there,
I just wonder how many others close to ours
do compare.
It’s almost time to change the bag after a fast
two way trip,
And of a few hot chocolates we took many
a needed sip.
Yet not much else was consumed as we hurried
there and back,
For we took a flask of soup so of nourishment
we did not lack.
