DRAPED IN SNOW
Just as a lovely gown enhances a maidens figure fine
So the trees draped in snow improve every limb and line,
Each boughs shape is marked, hidden beauty now seen there,
The wonder of the kiss of natures loveliness beyond compare.
Some weighed down, new grace and beauty to then show,
Still standing tall and stately in a glorious shining row.
The silver birch now bathed in ice seeing her perfect shape,
Looking breathlessly as winter uses her cold spotless cape,
Mounds of snow around the feet of every tree we see
Adds even more elegance and cold charm and beauty
Surrounded on every side with such wealth and charm
It is really hard to think that winter can do so much harm.
A human mind cannot find words to express each sight,
No description is good enough so I am in a plight,
For my heart wants to express the great wonders that I see
But I think Ill have to wait for heavens vast eternity.
