IN HONOUR OF JOSEPH SMITH
Two hundred years ago a baby boy was born
to a humble family,
Simple farm folk working the rich soil so
very diligently,
As he grew religious turmoil was everywhere to
be found,
And all the opposing voices made a great
confusing sound.
The boy, who name was Joseph, wanted to find the
truth and light,
Went into a grove of trees and then prayed with
all his might.
A vision came before his gaze that would change
the whole world,
The start of Gods pure truth soon at last to
be unfurled.
A latter day prophet to give us guidance, if we choose
the right way,
The knowledge long hidden began to flow after that
wonderful day.
A prophet seer and revelator, following Gods every
single command,
Sweet truth and light in simplicity just as God
has planned.
The Book Of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price the new
Commandments too.
Came down from God that would spread the whole
world through.
Died as a martyr, always living in the light to the
very end,
I long to meet dear Joseph, embracing him and
call him friend.
