        ALMOST CHRISTMAS
Just a few days now until Christmas day,
Plenty of snow has already come our way,
Areas on the lake have been cleared to skate,
And this year like most I’m not running late.

Gifts are all wrapt most of the goodies made,
The Christmas cards that came in are all displayed,
The tree shines through the window on the snow,
To see it shine around the lake we like to go.

Many homes make great efforts to brighten the cold,
You should see our small town all lovely to behold.,
It makes everywhere look special for the great day,
And I know I will be sad when the lights go away.

I hope everyone is happy, has family and friends too,
If you are alone we would share our joy with you,
May the lights that shine ready for Christmas time
Stay in all our hearts, filled with His love sublime.
