FOR DEAR SWEET
ALICE
Here is a little poem that is just
for you
To help cheer you up when
feeling blue,
Think of the beauty of the world
all around
And the sweetness of every
loving sound.
Your name brings to mind many
happy hours
As I sat with my grandma in
summer flowers,
As she sang, ‘Sweet Alice Blue Gown’
with a smile
And told tales of her friend Alice
for many a while.
Smile and be happy for you are special
to God above,
A precious daughter who He does
truly love.
May you feel the love that comes with
each word,
If you feel sad, read your poem and
His voice will be heard.
