THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY
Most of us know the tale of the drummer boy who had no gift
To give the Christ Child as in the manger He did quietly lay,
So gave of his only talent, his little drum did sweetly play,
The babe, they say, smiled and so also gave a precious gift.
Think of the drummer boy and use your talents each day
To bless others dont be all modest, or pretend to be shy,
Talents were given to develop, send back to God on high,
Remember the worth of His gifts given you every day.
What can I give Him poor as I am, he humbly said,
As he stood by the Christ Child in a stable all bare,
He gave of himself as he played his drum with care,
At Christmas remember the value of what the boy said.
