THE SHEEP
Did the sheep understand when the
angels came,
When they sang sweet praises to His
holy name?
Was she glad that she would be the gift
given to Him,
Or was she just there in the stable not
feeling well?
But she was there of the great miracle
to tell.
We know He was called the Good
Shepherd by some,
The Lamb of God that name He also
has won.
So a sheep in that stable all cold and
so bare
Was a wonderful thing to be sitting
quietly there.
