MY SHAMROCK PLANT
A friend gave me a shamrock looking quite healthy,
I gave part of it to our Sharon she is Irish you see,
The delicate white flowers and the big leaves of green
Are indeed a really pretty picture that should be seen.
At the moment its in the computer room, it likes company,
It has grown much bigger and seems to glow with glee,
I turn it around quite often so that it will grow straight
I can almost see the leaves and flowers patiently wait
For their turn to come to look through the window pain,
And so grow tall and strong and so uniformity gain.
I have always loved the shamrock but never had one before,
Now in a few weeks I think I can make one plant more,
I may wait until the spring so the roots dont get cold
And there is more strength in the sun so roots can take hold.
If you want a cutting of my lovely shamrock plant,
Let me know and I will try that sweet wish to grant.
