A POEM OF LOVE FOR YOU
It seems ages since I wrote a poem saying how much I care,
How many times I am so grateful that you are just there,
Ages since I penned my deep and never ending love for you,
Yet I know it is something that I should often try and do.
So I say, I love you words from the depth of my tender heart,
And will try my best to show this love and joy to you impart,
I feel of your discontentment at the temple being far away,
I feel it too for I know it’s where we both like to often stay.
But I am sure we made the right choice to live debt free,
And to do both things would have been an impossibility,
But the Lord has blest us and if we strive our very best
To fit in and serve, we will have passed a great test.
I love you my dearest, and glad that we meet long ago
And through many joys and sorrows that love show,
Sharing as though one the things that came our way,
May we continue long together forever and a day.
