YOU MAY NOT REAP WHAT YOU SOW
Please do not be discouraged if things seem not to sink in,
Your girls appear indifferent, the great battle hard to win,
Just let them know you love them anyway that you can,
He will help you for you are teaching of His powerful plan.
You may have Miss Know-It-All, Miss Mischief as well,
Along with Miss Shy and not one word will she ever tell,
Miss Bossy and Miss Grumpy and dear Miss Try-Her-Best,
And one who makes a joke of everything, she’s Miss Jest.
You try and sow seeds of wisdom, knowledge and love,
You constantly pray to your Father in heaven above
For the right thing to say, what to teach so they will learn,
That one day for the light of the gospel they may all yearn.
As you lead with the spirit, light will shine brightly through,
So do not be discouraged, you don’t know what good you’ll do.
One I taught with little hope for her turning out just right
Is a Stake Relief Society President serving with all her might.
