        THE GIFT OF AN APRON
It can be fun to wear an apron made just for you,
To help you keep clean through, all you have to do,
Busy ladies everywhere never, despite rank or station,
Will go to the front door and smile without hesitation.

The colour does not matter, all frilly or quite plain,
It is almost a status symbol, industry it does explain,
Even if all clean and tidy or covered by many a stain,
It is accepted and of your hard work it will sustain.

Especially at Christmas an apron tells many a story
Of hard work cooking and cleaning even of worry,
Wear this apron with love as you have work to do
And it will keep you clean all the hard day through.

You will feel special as you do wipe a tear away
With a pretty apron and you can brightly say
This apron was made with love to heal your pain
If needed, though I’m busy you can come back again.
