OPEN OUR HEARTS
Let us open our hearts to truth and light,
Be willing to shine with all our might,
However hard the path or steep the way,
Let us give our ourselves freely every day.
Let us open our hearts to the sick and weary,
Shine bright and show the way when it’s dreary,
Be there to glow in the darkness, be ever bright,
Fill our own patch with sweet heavenly light/
Let us open our hearts to those in dire need,
Be willing like the Master many souls to feed,
Never miss an opportunity to serve those around,
Feel the blessings of helping when needy are found.
Let us open our hearts to those who are quite lost,
Go out and seek them whatever be the great cost,
Find them, carry them home, then gladly rejoice,
Then we may softly hear our Master’s kind voice.
Well done thou good and faithful servant, He may say,
For you open hearts and have showed many the way
To light and truth, your light shines bright for me
And so are finding the path to heaven for eternity.
