THY WILL BE DONE
When the path of life is steep and thorny
it is hard to say, Thy will be done
Or when the sea of life is rough and stormy
will the struggle always be won.
When pain and conflict strive deep within
and turmoil swells within the breast
It’s then that we have to strive hard and win
to say ‘Thy will be done’ brings rest
Trust in the Lord and He will hold you hand
be by you not leave your suffering side
He has suffered much more and does understand
smile and be cheerful, he is by your side
In sickness when your breath seems taken away
His caring is there just for you my dear
And in His loving arms He’ll hold you as you say
with a true, honest heart without any fear
‘Thy will be done’
And the battle will be won
