More poems about Just Weather.

WINDY DAYS
It seems awhile since we had a heavy rain,
Just wonderful sunshine and blue skies reign,
But the last two days, although sunny and bright,
The wind has blown strong with all it’s might.

When the wind howls and rattles at the window panes,
Usually it a sign that rain will come, but I’ll explain,
The clouds are too high and they don’t have time to think,
Or I’m sure they’d send us precipitation in a wink.

See how they scurry across the vast expanse of sky,
Galloping, leaping, hurling, like having wings to fly
These rain clouds go heedlessly past, us in need of rain,
And we all know that to slow the wind down is in vain.

Doors fly open as you go in or outside for awhile,
And if you comb your hair in seconds it out of style.
It can take your breath away if you have to face the wind,
So I walk sideways and to the power of the wind rescind.

A warm wind that blows with force is pleasing in some ways,
As long as some calmer weather comes along on other days,
Although on my washing day I hope the wind remains blowing,
In no time at all the washing a pile of dry clothes will be showing.
