More poems about the Trees.

        SAVE A LITTLE FIR TREE
We hope to look around and find a fir tree that might not survive,
Bring it back to our garden where the soil will help it be alive,
To know it is loved and cared for and telling one day it will be
A tree full of lights in the garden for everyone to come and see.

If we leave it by the roadside it may not last more than a year.
We will seek out the one who oft times does tremble with fear
And rescue it from shallow roots, keep talking to it all the time,
I wish we could save some more but one at the moment is fine.

Monday we may go out on our rescue mission for the tree,
Look and find a bedraggled one, I’ll know it when I see
It struggling to grow and even breath a poor little thing,
And somehow to this little fir some hope and joy to bring.
