More poems about Children.

A BELOVED PICTURE
Friends gave us a picture of the Master holding a child
Gently to His breast, with great love and caring, so mild,
Strong arms tenderly comforting, removing the great pain,
And a Father’s healing kiss to make everything right again.

His eyes closed so all is given when a child is in need,
How many times does our Master do this kindly deed?
Think of the suffering children, place them in His arms,
Know that there is not one who He would not ever calm.

Our precious Ruth, someone’s Mary, James or little Joe,
Even before their passing He will to them compassion show,
Then, in early death He holds them, taking away all pain,
And will protect them until they can be all yours again.

Thank you friends for this picture to us it is very dear,
For the face looks a lot likes Ruth and it brings her near,
We will hang it in the bedroom and every morn and night,
We’ll see the Master hold her, loving her with all His might.
