More poems about Good Things.

        MORE DECK ACTIVITIES
I sat on the deck, chopped the parsley, peeled potatoes too,
It was too nice to stay indoors this little work I had to do,
We are having fresh salmon, we might even eat out there,
It is such a nice spot to sit, work or look around and stare

There’s a chipmunk he’s having so much fun right now
Stealing the sunflowers seeds as they stand in a tall row,
He must have eyes at the back of his head, if he hears a noise
He’s off in a flash and then back again his work he employs.

The birds are now around the front eating up the seed,
After supper to the front door step we may proceed,
And watch the lake dance and the breezes sweetly blow,
It really does not matter which of our doors we choose to go.

Each one brings us pleasure and new scene before our eyes,
This home we have found is a very special new prize,
I hope we never tire of this beauty that around we see,
As the latter years together we will enjoy in sweet tranquility,
