More poems about Places.

THIS LAND
I know the Lord has blessed this glorious land
With beauty of nature, touched by His hand
To put into most heart of men, sweet love
As if dear Canada is aiming for heaven above.

Kindness to a stranger, helping hands all around,
Loving, thoughtful people everywhere is found,
Friendships formed, all seem welcome here,
And it is a place where most can rest from fear.

A large welcome mat is usually found at every door,
No one is turned away hungry or if a storm does roar,
Yet just like any other place in this world so fair,
Wickedness, greed and cruelty also linger out there.

But I know that across this great and diverse land
God’s love shines through, as if held in His hand,
And may we be His fingers to stretch out in love
So when the time comes we’ll be ready for above.
