CHIPMUNK VALLEY
Chipmunks here, chipmunk there
In fact chipmunks everywhere,
Speedy little critters going somewhere,
Tearing across the road, tail in the air.
In a short trip out a dozen there may be,
Little blurs of tiny fluff you just see,
But we put seed down on our walkway
And yes, I truthfully can say
That they do stand still awhile stop to eat,
Theyre so cute as they hold with front feet
The tiny seeds, and munch contentedly
But as soon as you blink they seem to flee.
