CATCH A RAINBOW
If I could catch a rainbow and put it in a jar
I am sure the colours would not radiate far,
But would soon fade and vanish, not seen again,
And the pleasure that one brings would be in vain.
If I could catch a butterfly, how long would it live
How much enjoyment to others could it ever give
If captured and not free to flutter about and roam,
I know it would die quickly and never return home.
If I could catch a firefly and in a big bottle place,
How long would it glow and have a happy little face?
It would be very selfish to catch natures free things
And keep them for yourself, no joy would they bring..
Share the joys of nature just gaze all around and see
The great things, the small things that are to all free.
Take pictures, draw and write poems that tells a tale,
But do not ever capture them so evil dominion prevail.
