THE AFTERMATH OF MOVING
When you are packing and things are lying all around
The habit is to pop them in a drawer hoping theyll be found,
Then comes the time when the things you need are missing
And wonder where on earth you ought to be fishing.
The other day in my tee shirt drawer toothpaste I found,
In my kitchen cabinet a mug of screws safe and sound,
Goodness knows what else is there, Id better peep
For it seems awfully full what else in there did creep.
In a vase some letters, in another curly bookmark worms,
In the few miscellaneous boxes we should come to terms.
But we do have time and when doubles we have bought
Well find one hidden away, where we never ever thought.
