EARLY MORNING RAYS
This morning the suns early rays arrived in grace,
Filling the sky with multi-colours before her face
Came above the eastern ridge to wash night away,
Indeed it seemed a perfect start to any lovely day.
A slight breeze greeted the rays, put ripples on the lake,
And the white feathers of the seagulls seemed to make
A picture of beauty as everything turned a delicate pink,
Even the night sky seemed awed, of its grace did drink.
The ominous clouds in the south could not be turned away,
But I did not care if we had rain before the end of the day,
For I saw the suns morning rays alight the world again
With such masterful beauty, it took away hurt and pain.
