EARLY MORNING GLORY
I could hear the gentle rain, but there was no breeze
As the rays of the coming sun shone in beauty and ease,
A wonderful start to another day full of blessing Im sure,
For the start of it was full of glory so tender and pure.
The earth newly refreshed by the sweet falling rain,
Yet did not dull the reds and pinks as the sun came,
But soon the rain clouds first kissed with bright pink,
Hid the sun from our view as lower they did sink.
But that first awakening filled many with delight
As the suns rays blazed in colours so vivid and bright,
Just before the grey rain clouds took her away to play,
Yet we may see her again before the end of this day.
