        NO STARS IN COBALT
There is a strange phenomenon in Cobalt town,
And only this so far that has made me frown,
Although the nights are dark, moon sails up high,
There seems to be no stars shining in the sky.

Even on the clearest night you may see one or two,
But I expected to see millions the whole year through,
So I have come up with a theory, listen if you can,
It’s the only thing I can think of in this worlds plan.

Millions of ounces of silver were taken from the earth,
Many made fortunes mounting to some great worth,
Maybe for every ounce of silver a star went out of the sky,
So at the moment so now all Cobalters give a sad sigh.

The moon sheds her rays so bright and clear to see,
But look there is one star glowing up there feebly,
If anyone has another theory to account for no stars at all
Please find my E-mail or give me a friendly little call.

Much silver glitters on tables in homes far and wide
But the sorrow of losing the silver Cobalt couldn’t hide,
So one by one the stars did dim and slowly fade away,
Maybe after years of no mining they’ll come back one day.
